ZOZAN is an interdisciplinary research project at the Institute for Social Anthropology at the Austrian Academy of Sciences. It combines visual anthropology, artistic practice and art-based research to document, analyze and (re)present traditional and modern forms of migration in Kurdish societies. The project is based on two multimedia collections. Various forms of representation are developed in participatory workshops led by artists. With this website we would like to present the two collections of Mehmet Emir and Werner Finke and provide an insight into our artistic and scientific research.
